LEARNING SERIES
Each series
is designed to present material appropriate to a particular
stage of the Alzheimer journey, from diagnosis and adjustments in
daily living while at home, through changes in care needs,
and beyond.
Guest
speakers, with expertise in different topics, will enhance the
learning experience.
A 5-part learning
series for those newly diagnosed and their care
partners. The focus is on adjusting to the reality of
the diagnosis and making plans for the future.
A 4-part learning
series for caregivers with specific strategies on managing
day-to-day care, stress, changes in behaviour, accessing
community resources.
A learning
series for caregivers covering the issues relating to
placement in long term care - how the systems works, how to
prepare for the change in living arrangements.
Care in Later Stages
A 3-part learning series for caregivers
with a family member in long term care or palliative care,
covering end-of-life issues.
